Making A Way

And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
~Exodus 14:13-14

As we pray for God’s help in any impossible situation, we can trust that He hears us. Just as Moses told his people that the Lord would fight for them, and make a way for them, He will make a way for us to pass through the seas on dry land. We must trust Him, and hold fast to His peace, knowing that where we cannot see a way that the seas will part, God sees the way. We only have to trust the one who sees, not lean on our own poor eyesight.

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” ~Malachi 3:6

God is not stuck behind bronze gates. He is the eternal living God. His word is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is not held back by anything. Like little children leaning on God, we can trust that He can part the waters of our lives and help us walk the path to freedom.

“Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” ~Psalm 90:2

“Strength of my heart, I need not fail,
Not mind to fear but to obey,
With such a Leader, who could quail?
Thou art as Thou wert yesterday.
Strength of my heart, I rest in Thee,
Fulfil Thy purposes through me.” ~Amy Carmichael
